We’re thrilled and more than just a little excited, as the time has finally arrived to open the doors of our second cafe!
The Grumpy Cooks new ‘home from home’ will be opening on Monday 27th February, just in time you to join us on Shrove Tuesday for some of our scrummy homemade American Style pancakes with Maple Syrup and blueberries so please do call in and help us celebrate our new venture and enjoy some of our delicious food.
Come and find us at:
34 BENBOW COURT, SHENLEY CHURCH END, MILTON KEYNES, MK5 6JG
the cafe is on the old MacIntyre Bakery site, between the estate agents and pharmacy
Opening Times are Monday – Friday 8.00am – 5.00pm
Sat & Sun 8.00am – 2.00pm
Should custom dictate, we will open later at weekends.
The new cafe is not quite as big as our Howe Park Wood venue, however, we know you’ll find we’re just as big on flavour as ever, as we will be sharing all of our favourite Grumpy Cook recipes with our new cafe, including our legendary cakes and sausage rolls.
As well as our wide range of coffees and teas, we will be serving up freshly made sandwiches with a superb selection of fillings on wholesome quality bread.
Why not call in to the new cafe and join us for breakfast as we’ll have everything you need to get your day off to a fantastic start with our tasty breakfast menu.
How about a fully loaded cooked breakfast or go continental with our fresh from the oven croissants?
We also provide a vegetarian breakfast and a small selection of gluten free cakes. We do our best to accommodate gluten allergy suffers and try to make sure we can provide them with a delicious lunchtime alternative. Just let our friendly and helpful staff know if you have any special requirements and we’ll do our best to make your visit an enjoyable and tasty one.
As always, Barry our wonderful Grumpy Cook loves spending time in the kitchen, experimenting with new recipes and finding even more exciting ways to tickle your taste buds. He’s been hard at work, perfecting some wonderful new dishes for your delectation so look out for some new ‘Extra Special Specials’ and seasonal treats at both cafes.
If you love them, let us know and they could end up on our regular menu along with our range of melt in your mouth cakes and ‘to die for’ sausage rolls. In fact, our cakes and sausage rolls are now attracting such a cult following, they could almost do with having their own Facebook Fan Page!
As visitors to Howe Park Wood Cafe know, we’re always happy to welcome our four-legged customers as well as our two-legged ones and understand how much you love our Dog-Friendly policy. Unfortunately, due to the size of our new cafe, we do not have the space to offer the same welcome at Shenley Church End. Sadly, we will only be able to accept Guide Dogs.
If you aren’t already following us on social media, please look us up as we love to share fun and food with our friends.
Look out for new videos from the kitchen and the odd recipe too, as well as special offers, tasty new additions to our menu and more.
